Work load down, collections up. What/s next?
It’s time to work smarter rather than harder!
When you find your work load down, collections up and an unsure future you might want to consider the following.
Put an experienced sales person on the road. Sounds good but where will I find this person tomorrow and how will I be able to pay them?
I suggest you go to the yellow pages in your local phone book. You are looking for a printing broker. Every large city has several listed and many more unlisted. The ones listed have established, steady customers. The ones unlisted have a much smaller book of business but can bring in work. Even brokers specializing in say, continues forms have smaller runs of sheet work. Over look no one!
Advantages to me!
No collections from the end customer.
No salary.
No insurance.
No vacations.
No sick days.
And you are still in control. If a broker fails to pay you his customer list is in your hands as are the negatives and plates!
